The Temasek Chorale was established in 1990 and now has just over 70 members.

All members uphold a common goal to develop a lifelong love for singing and abide by the values of harmony in voices, unity in spirit, creativity in expression and perseverance in training. Through the last decade, the Temasek Chorale has taken part in school musicals, public concerts and achieved Distinction at the Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation.

Applicants should be able to:

· demonstrate a passion for choral singing.

· enjoy performing in front of an audience.

· appreciate working as part of a team.

· train twice a week, and participate in additional training sessions nearing competitions.

· \[Preferably\] have prior experience singing in a school or external choir.

Applicants should:

· be in primary school uniform.

· check their given email for the details of the trials.

· be prepared to sing from one choral piece of music (in any voice part) of your choice.

· be prepared to sing major and harmonic minor scales and arpeggios.

· be prepared to echo sing a tune

· be able to clap to a rhythm.

. able to sing the higher or lower pitch of a two-note chord

Note: Meeting all the criteria does not guarantee the student will be shortlisted/be given an offer. The decision of the Selection Panel on the DSA-Sec application is final. The school reserves the right not to release the reasons for non-selection of applicants and/or the results of the trials/auditions/aptitude test and/or the interview.

Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA are expected to honour their commitment to the school, and participate in the training/activities related to the DSA talent they are selected for from year 1-4.
